Studying Like a Pro – The Mantras
1. Managing Time
Management of time is the most indispensable task. Time management is nothing but saving of that time which is being used in other unnecessary tasks.
2. Devotion and Focus
You need to be focused towards your destination. Because if you are not focused then you may face setbacks most of the times. You must have pure devotion towards your aim. You will have to feel, smell, and dream of it until you reach it. In other words you shall need to be totally devoted towards your ambition.
3. Healthy Sleep and Diet
You will need to sleep well. Most students study during the night, but that is not good. You will have to change or adopt the habit of learning in the morning.
The reason behind this is that our minds are fresher and more receptive to the environment in the morning than at night. Even after reading a lot in the morning, if we continue reading at night, retention will probably be very low even after spending significant hours.
Obviously, our minds are not ready to accept this further. At night, you also remember a lot of things done with you even if you know a little thing is done and your mind is filled with that, so it’s better to study in the morning hours.
4. Start with the Basics
If you are reading anything xyz, you need to start with the very basics. This will ensure better retention throughout further course material. Knowing and understanding the various terminologies regarding the subject can give you a strong explanation of the concepts.
5. Don’t Cram
stop cramming !! It’s a waste of time .. but yeah, you can make a clean list of what you should cram. It may be a sort of headings, chapter summaries, some formulas, or your own notes. Keep that as short as possible. Make a separate notebook for the same. Also, you can learn headings by making a code of the prefix of each heading. I hope you get it. It really helps sometimes.
6. Never Skip Hard Problems
Don’t waste time on simple questions and tapping your shoulder yourself thereafter. Be professional, work harder, and get accustomed to hard questions as well.
7. Give it a final touch
Being confident is good, but it’s self-harming to be overconfident. In exam time, you may feel that you have gone through everything and nothing is left. That time you need to cram that notebook well you made for that purpose and also try to solve out things in blinking of an eye.
